Getting Closer
Hey friends! Just wanted to give you all a little update on Martian Alchemist. I’ve finished up the assets for the Potion Making Station and have been slowly adding them into the engine. It’s really exciting because the game is actually starting to feel like a game! I’ve added a few little scripts too which is really fun.
Next on my big to-do list for the MVP is to get the map set up. I’ve already designed the base image, now I just need to add the masking and the zooming/panning. Once that’s done, I’ll be moving on to character design. And then, once I have a handful of characters, I’ll start building out the gameplay.
I’ve already identified areas to refine but I’m trying not to get distracted/lost in the weeds as I build out the MVP so I’m mostly throwing the list of bugs into a big note file to fix later lol.
Anyway, here’s a little video that shows the latest build of the game! I’ve turned off the map interior right now since it currently covers the entire scene (I didn’t have time to finish the masking today). I hope you enjoy :)
